The Legend of Gus
Gus, the beloved mascot of Groovy Gus Mini Donuts, is more than just a character; he's a local legend. Born on April 26, 2019, Gus is a white squirrel from Bowling Green, now sporting a distinguished grey as he ages.
Fueled by donuts and black coffee, his mischievous antics, especially with Steve, add charm to the food truck scene.
Gus was chosen for his coolness, perfect rhyme with "bus," and his shared name with Burton Guster from "Psych." His caricature, created by Cindi's son David, features his iconic sunglasses and graces the company logo.
Gus also enjoys Corvettes, French Renaissance poetry, and sunset strolls. And, to the delight of his fans, Gus is still single, a fact he proudly shares.

The Birth Of Groovy Gus Mini Donuts
Groovy Gus Mini Donuts was born from a spark of inspiration and a desire to bring more joy into people’s lives. On a crisp Monday morning in the fall of 2018, Cindi walked into the office with an idea that would change everything: a donut truck. Without hesitation, Steve embraced the vision, shedding his tie and declaring, “Let’s do it!”
Transforming A Van Into The Groovy Gus Donut Bus
Their journey began with an old contractor’s van from Cleveland, which they transformed into the vibrant and funky Groovy Gus Donut Bus. From selecting the name to designing the colors and patterns, Steve and Cindi poured their hearts into creating a groovy vibe that would delight customers at every turn.
The Debut At
GypsyMoon Marketplace
In April 2019, the Groovy Gus Donut Bus made its debut at GypsyMoon Marketplace, marking the start of an adventure filled with delicious treats and memorable encounters with their beloved “Gustomers.” Steve and Cindi have cherished every moment of their food trucking journey, meeting new people and spreading joy with every mini donut.
Expanding Horizons: From Mobile To Storefront
As Groovy Gus Mini Donuts prepares to expand its horizons, the essence of their journey remains rooted in spreading joy, one delectable donut at a time. The next exciting chapter for Steve and Cindi is transitioning from a mobile delight to a brick-and-mortar storefront, allowing even more people to experience the groovy goodness of their mini donuts.
